The Austin Clinic is located in Balgowlah, Sydney, New South Wales. Our clinic’s focus is on skin care and treatment including skin cancer, skin conditions and cosmetic medicine.

At the Austin Clinic we pride ourselves on our state of the art technology such as the latest Coolsculpt fat loss procedure, which has no down time!

We have a photographic imaging system that will allow your doctor to record skin lesions they would like to monitor and review them at your next check up to see if any changes that have occurred. You do not need a referral from your GP to make an appointment at the Austin Clinic.

At the Austin Clinic we perform skin cancer surgery on site so if your doctor does find a suspicious lesion during your annual check up we usually do not need to refer you elsewhere to have it treated. “Happy gas” is also available at an extra cost.

We specialise in non-surgical cosmetic treatments at the Austin Clinic. Whether you have facial or leg veins, pigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles or just need to rejuvenate your skin we have multiple treatment options available.

Dr Susan Austin is the owner and director of the Austin Clinic. She is a medical practitioner with over 20 years experience as a general practitioner. She graduated from the University of NSW in 1982. She has always had an interest in Dermatology and Cosmetic medicine and has trained with Plastic and Vascular Surgeons.

She achieved Honours in her Diploma of Practical Dermatology at the University of Wales in 1999 and has undergone many training courses involving Dermatology, Laser, Cosmetic medicine, Skin cancer medicine and surgery.

Dr Austin’s interests include Cosmetic Medicine and the treatment and management of Skin Cancer and Skin Conditions. Her specialties include scar treatment; the treatment and management of acne; the treatment of pigmentation and facial veins; sclerotherapy (the treatment of leg veins); fat loss through the latest in Coolsculpt technology; minor surgical procedures; dermatoscopic diagnosis of skin cancers and non-surgical Rhinoplasty. She also has a special interest in helping to prevent and reverse the signs of ageing through dermal fillers, muscle relaxants, Broadband light procedures and chemical peels. Dr Austin also treats skin conditions like Rosacea, Eczema, Dermatitis, Alopecia and Psoriasis.

Dr Lishuang Chen graduated from the University of Adelaide with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 1998. She received postgraduate training in North Queensland where she gained extensive experience in skin cancer diagnosis and treatment and has been practicing skin cancer medicine since obtaining her FRACGP in 2003.

In the past ten years she has undergone further training in skin cancer and has achieved several qualifications. In 2007 she obtained her SCSA Certificate in Skin Cancer, went on to do her Diploma of Dermatology at the Australian Institute of Dermatology in 2009, and most recently she completed her Master of Medicine in Skin Cancer from the University of Queensland in 2013.

Dr Chen is passionate about the early diagnosis and management of all skin cancers. Her experience in skin cancer surgery is extensive and she always strives to achieve the best cosmetic outcome for all skin cancer treatments.


Dr Harold Judelman

Dr Harold Judelman graduated from the University of Witwatersrand Medical School in Johannesburg, South Africa in 1971. He became a Member of Faculty of General Practice in the College of Medicine of South Africa in 1977. During his many years as a General Practitioner he has worked in the fields of Paediatrics, Gynaecology and Obstetrics, Family Practice, General Medicine and Surgery, and Dermatology.

He is an experienced General Practitioner, with experience in Skin Cancer diagnosis, management and minor surgical procedures; His expertise in surgery extends from skin cancer to Vasectomies performed under Local Anaesthetic. He continues to pursue these interests at the Austin Clinic.

Melissa has been with the practice since 2012. She takes care of the clinic as a whole. She is here to look after our patients and doctors right from start to finish. She is very knowledgeable about our products and services and is always happy to answer any enquiries.


Lesley Ansell

Clinical assistant / receptionist

Lesley has been with the Austin Clinic for ten years and strives to make every patient’s needs a priority. She assists with many of the procedures at the Austin Clinic and is very experienced in Microdermabrasion, HydrafacialDermapen and Pelleve treatments. She is passionate about skin hygiene and will happily answer any questions about skin care products or treatments.



Tracey Fleming

Clinical assistant / receptionist

Tracey also assists our doctors and is also experienced in skin care treatments like the Microdermabrasion, Hydrafacial, Dermapen and Pelleve. She has been with the clinic since 2005 and is happy to help with any enquiry you may have.



Michelle Buley

Clinical assistant / receptionist

Michelle is our newest recruit at the Austin Clinic but with much experience in personal training and fitness she brings a lot to the table. She assists with many of the surgical and cosmetic procedures and is also the foremost authority on our brand new Coolsculpt treatment.
