Biostimulator

A revolutionary skin hydrating and remodeling treatment, which strengthens the skin by stimulating collagen cells to counteract skin laxity and improve and restore firmness.

What is Biostimulation?

Biostimulation, or remodelling, is an injection-delivered cosmetic treatment. It is used to enhance skin quality, elasticity, and texture, by stimulating collagen production. Dermal fillers boost hyaluronic acid to plump and enhance contours, while collagen biostimulators boost collagen itself to improve the skin’s longer-term texture, tone, and overall health.

Australian regulations prohibit us from naming the brand of biostimulator we use. You can be confident, however, that it is approved.

What makes Biostimulator different?

It’s all about the material in the biostimulator, which is a naturally occurring material the body produces. This substance is found in joints, connective tissue, and skin. Its job is to hold moisture and assist in the production of collagen. Collagen is thirsty: it can hold as much as 1,000 times its weight in water. It is essential for keeping skin moisturised.

The biostimulator we use contains one of the highest concentrations of stabilised material available on the Australian market today. With their unique properties, biostimulator injections contour and moisturise. The gel is injected beneath the surface of the skin. Once injected, it disperses over a few days and reacts with skin tissue, upping hydration. This demonstratively remodels the skin, giving it a plumper, smoother, and firmer appearance.

Who Can Benefit from Biostimulator?

You … if you are dissatisfied with visible signs of facial ageing such as deteriorating skin elasticity, loss of tone, and decreased facial volume. Patients presenting for this treatment should have realistic expectations about the results and not think of the biostimulator as a miracle cure.

Is Biostimulator suitable for everyone?

Biostimulator injections are not suitable for patients:

  • With certain medical conditions, such as autoimmune disorders.
  • Who have active or recent infections or have recently been vaccinated. (These people must wait at least two weeks before treatment.)
  • Who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • Who have permanent implants in the treatment area.

Is Biostimulator Only for the Face

At this time, the biostimulator we use has been approved for use on the face exclusively. Approval is expected soon for other parts of the body where ageing skin is problematic.

Is there any downtime?

There is no downtime. You can return to your regular activities immediately after your short treatment session. You may have some mosquito sized lumps in the injection site, which will dissipate after 24 hours.

Pre-Treatment

Your entire face will first be cleaned thoroughly. Your doctor will then draw small dot marks on your face using easily erased pencil to map out 5 points, per side, where the biostimulator will be injected.

Treatment

Very fine needles are used to inject the biostimulator just under the skin at pre-determined points. There is a classic technique for the face, which is a very simple 5-point technique that covers the entire face as the gel spreads to a circle with a diameter of 4cm.

What should I avoid after treatment?

Immediately after treatment you should avoid wearing make-up. Also, put a pause on strenuous physical activity for 24 hours and avoid saunas and steam rooms for a week.

How long before I see results?

The effects of biostimulator are subtle, but you will notice a difference straight away. Your skin will immediately display a smoother texture and brighter tone. These results continue to improve over time and can last up to six months, depending on the individual.

How Long Do the Benefits of Biostimulator Last?

Following the initial building phase of 1-3 months, we recommend patients receive a single top-off treatment every 3-6 months to keep skin plump and smooth.

What Is the Cost of Biostimulator Injections?

Many factors influence the cost of biostimulator injections, including the number of treatments needed for the building phase, as well as additional maintenance visits. You will be given a precise cost overview during your consultation.

Can I Bundle Biostimulator with Other Anti-Ageing Treatments?

Yes! Biostimulator injections can be combined with a range of cosmetic treatments, including IPL facial rejuvenation, wrinkle-relaxing treatments, or laser resurfacing. Combining treatments can help to achieve more comprehensive and longer-lasting results.

We also recommend using cosmeceutical skin care at home to support the work of the biostimulator. Your doctor injector will discuss all the pertinent facts with you and help you come up with an unbeatable plan.
