MOXI Fractionated Laser

Meet MOXI – Gentle fractional resurfacing for brighter, smoother skin

Say hello to MOXI. This gentle, non-ablative fractional laser targets early signs of sun damage, uneven tone, fine lines and texture. It pairs beautifully with Broadband Light (BBL) treatments to boost pigment and tone correction, with minimal downtime. That’s ideal if you want noticeable improvement without lengthy recovery.

What is MOXI?

MOXI is a non-ablative, fractional 1927nm laser developed for skin revitalisation. Unlike other techniques that remove large areas of skin, MOXI creates microscopic thermal zones that stimulate collagen production and cellular turnover.

The result is fresher, more even skin with reduced sunspots, smoother texture and a healthy glow – often noticeable after a single session, with best results after a short series.

What are the benefits of MOXI?

Moxi is appealing because it offers:

R

Low downtime, real results

MOXI gives many of the benefits of traditional resurfacing lasers but with much less recovery time – redness and mild swelling are common for a day or two and most people resume normal activities quickly.

R

Safety for many skin types

Because it’s non-ablative and precisely fractionated, MOXI is used across a broad range of skin tones as part of a staged prejuvenation or corrective plan.

R

Versatility in treatment areas

Face, neck, décolletage and hands are commonly treated to address early signs of photo-ageing and uneven tone.

Who is a good candidate for a MOXI treatment?

MOXI is recommended for:

  • People noticing early sun damage, uneven pigmentation, dullness, rough texture or fine lines.
  • People who seek meaningful improvement without extended downtime.

Important note: MOXI is NOT suitable for active tanning, recent use of certain oral medications, certain skin conditions or pregnancy – a consultation will determine safety and timing.

MOXI + BBL – Better Together

MOXI pairs exceptionally well with Broadband Light (BBL) / IPL therapies. BBL targets pigment, redness and vascular marks with broad-spectrum light; MOXI complements it by improving texture and stimulating collagen. Clinical reports and practice experience show the combination can produce superior clearance of sunspots and more even tone than either treatment alone.

Here’s what to expect…

Consultation

We review your goals and skin history in order to create a personalised plan (number of sessions, spacing, maintenance). 1–4 treatments spaced 4–6 weeks apart depending on your goals (prejuvenation vs corrective). Many people opt for an annual maintenance session after the initial series of treatments.

Prep

Cleansing and protective eyewear. A topical numbing cream may be used for comfort.

Treatment

The laser handpiece is passed over the treatment area, and you’ll feel a series of warm pulses (brief discomfort for most people). Sessions are usually 15–30 minutes depending on area.

Recovery and aftercare

Immediately afterwards you’ll feel warmth, redness and a sunburn-like sensation. These feelings are common. Cold compresses and gentle cooling sprays help comfort.

Days 2 – 5

A bronzed or speckled appearance (sometimes called MENDs – microscopic epidermal necrotic debris) can appear as treated cells flake away, revealing smoother skin underneath. Refrain from picking at your skin.

Pro tip: Sun protection is essential. Use mineral sunscreen, hats and avoid direct sun exposure for several weeks post-treatment to reduce the risk of pigment changes.

Results You Can See … Fast

Improved skin radiance is visible in a matter of days. Continued improvement in tone and texture, and collagen remodelling occurs over 6–12 weeks

Will MOXI remove deep wrinkles or deep scars?

No. MOXI is best for early signs of ageing and texture refinement. Deeper wrinkles/scars may need more aggressive fractional or ablative therapies.

Can MOXI be done year-round?

Yes! One advantage of MOXI is that it’s often able to be performed at many times of the year, but strict sun avoidance and SPF after treatment remain crucial.

Is the combination of MOXI + BBL OK for darker skin tones?

Yes. When performed by experienced practitioners with tailored settings, combination protocols can be used safely across a range of skin types. Careful assessment and conservative settings reduce risks of post-inflammatory pigmentation.
